Although °Âü°ù³ú²ú³Ü°ù²µâ€™s history dates back to 1000 BC when Celtics built a fortress on top of Marienberg, the city was officially founded in 742 as the bishopric of °Âü°ù³ú²ú³Ü°ù²µ. Today, °Âü°ù³ú²ú³Ü°ù²µ is home to about 128,000 people, being 30,000 young students and 32,000 residents over 60 years old. °Âü°ù³ú²ú³Ü°ù²µ is proud of being an "old young city", as it is one of the youngest cities in Germany with an average age of 41 years old.
