About the University

Innovative. Interdisciplinary. International. The University of °Õü²ú¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô has combined these guiding principles in its research and teaching since its founding. It has repeatedly initiated important new developments in the humanities and natural sciences, medicine and the social sciences. The University of °Õü²ú¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô is currently one of eleven German universities that have been recognized as excellent. Around 200 courses are offered at the University of °Õü²ú¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô's seven faculties, from Egyptology to human medicine to cellular neuroscience. The university offers students bachelor's and master's degrees, state examinations, church examinations and teacher training courses. °Õü²ú¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô is one of the world's leading locations in neuroscience. Together with translational immunology and cancer research, microbiology and infection research as well as the molecular biology of plants, they shape the °Õü²ú¾±²Ô²µ±ð²Ô research focus in the field of life sciences.
