The TU Kaiserslautern (TUK) is the only technical and engineering university in Rhineland-Palatinate and is one of the young universities in Germany. Despite its technical and scientific focus, it offers a wide range of courses, which also includes social and economic subjects as well as distance learning and teacher training courses. The TUK is a campus university: all research buildings and lecture halls can be reached on foot within a few minutes. Ideal study conditions are also provided by the direct proximity to the Palatinate Forest, the short distance to the city center and a wide range of sports and leisure activities. Future-oriented courses, practical training and a modern infrastructure form the framework for studying at TUK. There are over 100, often interdisciplinary, bachelor's, master's and diploma courses in 12 departments.
